The Master of Education (M.Ed.) at Manipal GlobalNxt University is a two-year, research-based programme for aspiring educators and professionals aiming to advance their careers in the evolving education sector.

The M.Ed. programme attracts a diverse cohort of experienced professionals, typically aged 30 to 60, who complete the programme in 24 months, emerging with the skills to drive innovation in education.

Admission Eligibility Criteria
Who is eligible?
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) 2.75 as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 but does not reach a CGPA 2.75, may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, which does not achieve CGPA 2.50, admissible subject to at least five (5) years of work experience in a related field.
- Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the HEP and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) and (iii).
English Requirement
All candidates whose first language is not English and who have not undertaken tertiary education in English must demonstrate competence in English through one of the following (or equivalent according to international recognition):

How do I decide on my research topic?
The professor will help you identify topics that might be worthy of research. Ultimately, the decision is yours and we recommend that you focus your research on an area that you are passionate about.

How quickly can I complete my DBA degree?
The quickest would be in 3 years. Some students may need longer to complete their research and write their thesis.

How much time should I set aside for study per week?
Study time differs from student to student, depending upon their academic ability and learning style. As a general guide, a typical 4-credit course has a student learning time (SLT) of around 160 hours or about 12 hours per week. Students who develop an effective learning style may require less effort to achieve the stated learning outcomes.

You will have full access to a dedicated Manipal GlobalNxt online library service, which includes all materials required to complete the program, as well as personal assistance to access reference materials and electronic documents.
