The Master of Education (M.Ed.) is a two-year research-based program designed for those aspiring to become educators or advance their careers in education. It equips individuals with innovative skills needed in today’s evolving learning landscape and aligns with the demands of the knowledge-based economy.
Our Education Master’s program caters to working adults, focusing on relevant issues for them and their institutions. It stands apart by requiring just three research modules for a master’s qualification, offering flexibility in diverse research areas like Outcome based Education (OBE) curriculum, technology, active learning, early childhood education, remote learning, open and distance learning (ODL), learner life cycle management, life-long learning, experiential learning, accreditation, internationalization of education and student mobility, credit based learning and massive open online courses (MOOC).
Our program provides 24/7 online access to learning materials and library resources, enabling learners to study at their convenience. Professors offer guidance as needed. Geared towards experienced professionals, our online master’s sees applicants aged 26 to 45, completing the program in around 24 months on average.

Admission Eligibility Criteria
Who is eligible?

Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 from an approved institution by the Academic Senate.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a CGPA between 2.50 to 2.75 after rigorous assessment.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with CGPA below 2.50, along with at least 5 years’ relevant work experience from an approved institution by the Academic Senate.

How do I decide on my research topic?
The professor will help you identify topics that might be worthy of research. Ultimately, the decision is yours and we recommend that you focus your research on an area that you are passionate about.

How quickly can I complete my DBA degree?
The quickest would be in 3 years. Some students may need longer to complete their research and write their thesis.

How much time should I set aside for study per week?
Study time differs from student to student, depending upon their academic ability and learning style. As a general guide, a typical 4-credit course has a student learning time (SLT) of around 160 hours or about 12 hours per week. Students who develop an effective learning style may require less effort to achieve the stated learning outcomes.

What resources will I have access to?
You will have full access to a dedicated Manipal GlobalNxt online library service, which includes all materials required to complete the program, as well as personal assistance to access reference materials and electronic documents.
Recommended or optional reading materials are also available through the online library.
