Admission Eligibility Criteria

Who is eligible?

A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in related & non-related fields as accepted by the Senate (or)
Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government

Qualify with APEL.A

Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning for Access (APEL.A) T-7 is designed for individuals with work experience who aspire to pursue a master's degree but do not possess a bachelor's qualification.

APEL.A assesses the knowledge and skills acquired through formal, informal, and non-formal learning to determine an individual's readiness for a study programme, effectively converting the learner's work experience into a recognised qualification for entry.

Eligibility criteria include:

Malaysian & International leaners
Minimum age of 30 years
Possession of at least an STPM, Diploma, or equivalent qualification
Relevant work experience

English Requirement

For international students, a minimum IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 6.0 or an equivalent score on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) (Mid B2) is required.

01 How do I decide on my research topic?

The professor will help you identify topics that might be worthy of research. Ultimately, the decision is yours and we recommend that you focus your research on an area that you are passionate about.

02 How quickly can I complete my DBA degree?

The quickest would be in 3 years. Some students may need longer to complete their research and write their thesis.

03 How much time should I set aside for study per week?

Study time differs from student to student, depending upon their academic ability and learning style. As a general guide, a typical 4-credit course has a student learning time (SLT) of around 160 hours or about 12 hours per week. Students who develop an effective learning style may require less effort to achieve the stated learning outcomes.

04 What resources will I have access to?

You will have full access to a dedicated Manipal GlobalNxt online library service, which includes all materials required to complete the program, as well as personal assistance to access reference materials and electronic documents.
