The Chancellor is the honorary Head of the University and represents GlobalNxt University in a ceremonial and ambassadorial capacity.
The Chancellor helps to raise the profile, prestige and reputation of the University nationally and internationally, while representing its mission, aims and values to the wider community. The Chancellor also presides over ceremonial occasions, including the conferment of degrees.
Lord Kamall became Chancellor of GlobalNxt University on 1 June 2026. A member of the UK House of Lords, former UK minister and former Member of the European Parliament, he brings extensive experience across public policy, innovation, higher education and international affairs.
After serving as a Member of the European Parliament for London, he joined the House of Lords, where he later served as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State with responsibility for technology, innovation and life sciences.
He has also maintained strong links with the higher education sector through his association with St Mary’s University, Twickenham and the Vinson Centre, University of Buckingham, contributing to discussions on public policy, enterprise, innovation and global education.
As Chancellor, he supports GlobalNxt University’s mission to provide accessible, flexible and globally connected education for learners around the world.
The Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the University, overseeing its academic, operational and institutional development. The role supports the University’s mission, values and long-term objectives, while promoting excellence in education, innovation, student experience and engagement with wider society.

The Board of Governance is the principal governing body responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, financial sustainability and overall institutional performance of GlobalNxt University. The Board provides leadership, stewardship and oversight in alignment with the University's mission and regulatory obligations.

The Senate is the principal academic authority of the University. It oversees academic standards, programme development, faculty appointments and research governance. The Senate ensures that the University's teaching, learning and research activities maintain the highest standards of quality, relevance and rigour.

The Senate is composed of the Vice-Chancellor, Deans, Heads of Programmes and distinguished academics from across disciplines.
