All international students applying to Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes at GlobalNxt University are required to obtain the EMGS Approval to Study, in compliance with regulations set by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education and Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS).
The EMGS Approval to Study is mandatory for international students who will be pursuing their studies fully online from abroad, as all ODL programmes at our University are delivered entirely online with no physical attendance required On-Campus. This approval ensures that international students are officially registered with the Higher Education Authority and enables the issuance of an official Letter of Approval, which is required for enrolment.
The University would initiate applicants’ EMGS Approval to Study upon receiving the applicant’s acceptance of offer letter from GlobalNxt University and the corresponding processing fees. Eligible students would need a student visa approval letter from the Malaysian consulate in their country of usual residence or a Malaysian student visa to commence their studies in our on-campus programmes. The International Office of the University would initiate the visa for eligible students who accept the offer and pay the requisite visa processing fee.
